Role Responsibilities:

  • Take ideas from early concept phase through delivery and launch, including but not limited to creating high level design documentation, scoping design requirements, and creating detailed specifications
  • Create Proof of Concept design and implementation/productizing via SW development
  • Participate in Platform Core Teams and negotiate for prioritization of technology feature implementation
  • Work with industry forums for spec development like UEFI, DMTF, PCI Sig, ACPI, etc.
  • Distill complex concepts into material that marketing and non-technical teams can understand
  • Work across teams and organizations to champion ideas and gain alignment
  • Ability to take ownership of overall UEFI platform design throughout the platform lifecycle
  • Communicate and present ideas and concepts to Senior Director and VP level management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements

  • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
  • Expertise with Intel and/or AMD system architectures
  • 8+ years of experience in BIOS / firmware SW development
  • UEFI Programming expertise; Ability to demonstrate programming skills
  • Proven track record in product development/design with strong Program Management skillset
  • Low level programming capability -system/motherboard/device/chipset level
  • Experience with analyzers and other HW tools to debug complex system SW issues
  • Proven Technical Writing capabilities for spec creation


Preferences

  • Masters’ degree
  • Alternate chipset experience like embedded controllers and ARM processors
  • Agile software development experience
  • Familiarity with higher level programming (apps / tools)
