Accountant - Project-Based
The HT Group is now hiring a skilled Accountant for a great client in Northwest Austin (2222/620 area). You will be assisting the accounting department with their transition to the Austin office. This role is project-based, but there is potential for long-term opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate will have previous GAAP accounting experience, as well as journal entry and reporting skills.
Must meet current guidelines at date of hire for background, drug and credit check.
North Austin (Steiner Ranch)
Monday to Friday
- Process business related Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
- Prepare and post month-end accruals.
- Prepare and post business related cash entries.
- Prepare and post G/L journal entries relating to intercompany transactions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare various monthly dealership reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Education/Work Experience: Four years of similar work experience required; intermediate proficiency level in spread sheet package(s); ten key and above average computer knowledge, intermediate proficiency in accounting software.
Knowledge: A demonstrated ability to learn products, systems and procedures; ability to evaluate and process transactions with consistent quality; understanding of system accounting transactions. Ability to exercise sound and logical decisions when processing accounts payable transactions and when coordinating with outside vendors; an interest and concern for risk and expense control.
Character: Demonstrated integrity dealing with customers, vendors, peers and management; maintain confidentiality with company financial transactions.
Behavior: Ability to react and plan in mature, calm and rational manner
