Oversight of Accounting Department and Accounting Staff.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and procedures.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Meet financial and accounting department objectives.
Oversee, implement and maintain the Timberline software modules. Provide training for users and ensure that proper documentation and procedures are in place to ensure the full utilization of the system.
Ensure bookkeeping, accounting and administrative processes are documented and reviewed annually for accuracy.
Interface with bank, accounting and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth, timely and effective
Ensure that all licenses, certifications, reports and information is in compliance with all federal, governmental, state and local agencies.
Manages all the accounting for multiple company ventures and properties.

At Jackson Design and Remodeling, the Accounting Manager will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-today accounting and payroll activities. Specifically, this position is responsible for performing daily, monthly and annual accounting tasks to include general ledger, accounts receivables, invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, and budget and cash management.

Accounting Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department to include:

Accounts Payable
Payroll and Taxes
Cash Management (Receipts, Deposits, Checkbook, Forecasting)
Revenue and Expenditure Analysis
Billing/Invoicing and A/R Management
Job Costing
General Ledger Account Maintenance
Fixed Assets (Depreciation and Amortization schedules)
Month-End and Year-End Financial Statements and Close Out
Insurance Policies Oversight
Annual Budget Development and Oversight throughout the year
Financial Reports and Analysis (WIP, Variance Reports, Job Costing Analysis, Financial Statements, etc.)
Bonding and W/C oversight
Tax Preparation and 1099

Human Resources Management Responsiblities

Manage Benefits Administration to include:

Vacation time tracking
Expense/reimbursement tracking
401K administration - Quarterly and annual reporting and yearly distribution of legal notices

Management Responsibilities

Develop an annual Departmental Plan and provide status updates to the Leadership Team on a monthly basis.
Provide performance feedback and coaching for team members.
Perform formal and informal performance reviews throughout the year.
Work with team members to continuously improve and grow in their position and responsibilities.
Perform all duties assigned to Management Team Members.
Troubleshoot and address inter- and intra- departmental issues or concerns and work toward a positive, collaborative resolution ensuring that all individuals involved participate in the resolution of the issue/concern.

BS degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
8-10 years of experience as Sr. Accountant or higher preferably with a Construction/Trade or similar
Preferred experience working with Master Builder or Timberline Construction and
Accounting Software.
3-5 years management/supervisory experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player with exceptional communication and customer service skills.
