New Business Developer

New Business Development (NBD) Position

J. Thayer Company Office Products is a 64-year-old regional West Coast firm seeking experienced phone sales professionals for our business development team. We are an independent family-owned dealer of office supplies and paper products. This is a full-time office position calling businesses to introduce our company, sell our new âBuy Localâ program, collect information about potential customers, and win new accounts. This is strictly a new business development position and not a sales position where you would be managing existing accounts.

-40 hours per week Monday -- Friday 8am to 5pm.
- $14/hour base wage plus bonus
-Monthly bonus: 10% of each first order and up to $300 for winning at least ten first orders each month
-Medical & dental insurance eligible after 90 day
-401k plan eligible after one year

We are seeking upbeat, motivated individuals preferably with two years of experience in B2B phone sales. Intermediate computer skills are necessary. Candidates must be quick learners or have prior experience using Goldmine or similar CRM software. Multi tasking capabilities are a huge plus. Candidates must also be able to meet expectations regarding daily call volume and monthly production requirements. Office supply product knowledge and industry experience is a plus.

To be clear, this is a very low pressure pitch that entails continued contact with all businesses you are assigned to call.
