Program Manager-Coastside Gives Mavericks Community Foundation

The Mavericks Community Foundation is looking for support for our upcoming fundraiser, Coastside Gives 2020. We are looking for a tech-savvy, independent, and organized Program Coordinator to manage a fundraiser from start to finish for over 40 nonprofits on the San Mateo County Coast.

The Mavericks Community Foundation strives to make a lasting impact on the San Mateo County Coast by encouraging community engagement, support, and collaboration. We envision a future where all our Coastside nonprofit organizations are enabled to support the needs of our community.

About the position: 
⢠Responsible for the coordination of a community-wide fundraiser to support local grantees. 
⢠Serve as point of contact for all grantees, donors, partner organizations, sponsors, and liaison to the Board of Directors.
⢠Administration of technology platforms such as CiviCore and Catchafire. 
⢠Provide assistance at trainings for nonprofit attendees on fundraising software, online giving, and communications.
⢠Collaborate with partners and strategic volunteers to host capacity-building sessions, informational meetings, and community events.
⢠Manage volunteers. 
⢠Review and draft marketing collateral, communications to donors and grantees, and website copy.
⢠Manage all social media. 
⢠Grant writing and administration.
⢠Candidate must have a reliable form of transportation to attend events and meetings on a regular basis in the Half Moon Bay CA., area.

     The ideal candidate will: 
⢠Be incredibly organized and have a system for maintaining organization. 
⢠Skilled at providing clear instructions about confusing topics. 
⢠Have a passion for social impact and/or fundraising.
⢠Have experience/familiarity with events. 
⢠Be tech-savvy and comfortable learning and using different software. 
⢠Be comfortable working independently and at times in an ambiguous environment.
⢠Take initiative and have a good attitude! 
     Itâs a bonus if you are: 
⢠Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
⢠Have communications and/or writing experience, especially for nonprofits. 
⢠Familiar with the San Mateo County nonprofit world. 
⢠Knowledge of basic HTML a huge plus!

Please note, this is a temporary and part-time position where the hours vary from week to week. The schedule is flexible aside from regularly set meetings between January - May and the days leading up to and on May 7th, 2020. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Salary is commensurate on experience from $25- $40 per hour with up to 375 hours allocated for this project.  We do not provide benefits but this is a flexible work schedule. What is Coastside Gives? 
Coastside Gives was inspired by the collaborative efforts of Silicon Valley Gives and East Bay Gives. To increase our impact locally, we branched off and created Coastside Gives, an annual day of giving that highlights the unique culture, environment, and spirit of community between Montara, CA and Pescadero, CA. It is a 24-hour online fundraiser for nonprofits that have a wide range of programs in education, art, agriculture, senior and children services, environment, community improvement, and health.
