Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Education and/or Experience
â¢ High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
â¢ Background in retail, sporting goods preferred.
â¢ Familiarity with POS software.

â¢ Outstanding customer service skills.
â¢ Enthusiastically promote the game of tennis.
â¢ Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Sell tennis merchandise in the Tennis Shop. Maintain the Tennis Shop and sell tennis court time.
â¢ Supplies towels, cups and ice to members and guests.
â¢ Records all charge tickets.
â¢ Charges guest fees.
â¢ Responsible for demonstrator tennis rackets loaned to members and their guests.
â¢ Builds creative and appealing displays and rotates merchandise periodically.
â¢ Restocks merchandise when necessary.
â¢ Inventories and prices in-coming merchandise.
â¢ Ensures that tennis accessories are properly inventoried and maintained.
â¢ Contacts vendors regarding defective merchandise and warranty replacements.
â¢ Takes and records court reservations and assists in finding cooperative partners for players.
â¢ Updates sign-up sheets for court reservations.
â¢ Informs members about club programs and tournaments.
â¢ Directs members and guests to their courts.
â¢ Promotes and sells Tennis Shop merchandise.
â¢ Assists members and guests with Tennis Shop merchandise
selections and purchases.
â¢ Fills special orders for members.
â¢ Responsible for generating monthly reports.
â¢ Empties trash on each court and cleans courts.
â¢ Maintains Tennis Shop and keeps storage area tidy.
â¢ Vacuums and dusts tennis shop daily.
â¢ Takes towels to and from laundry area.
â¢ Reports any complaints, feedback, or concerns from membership to Assistant Tennis Professional.
â¢ Attends staff meetings.
â¢ Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Assistant Tennis Professional.
